Selection Rules

There are three types of juries to determining the Contest's provincial grand prizes winners: local, regional and provincial.

If your project passes the first stage at the local level (April 2009), your application package will be reassessed at the second stage or the regional level (May 2009);

Then, if applicable, it will qualify for the third stage at the provincial level (May 2009).

Prizes will be awarded at a gala ceremony to be held June 18, 2009.

Applicants must be prepared for a possible interview with the regional jury members; at the provincial level, they are required to attend an interview with the provincial jury members.

No jury is obligated to award all prizes if the quality of the applications received is deemed to be unsatisfactory or if no projects were submitted in a given category.

The decisions made by juries may not be appealed. The jury members are not required to forward their comments or their completed assessment grids to participants in non-winning projects once their analysis is complete.

confidentiality

The Québec Entrepreneurship Contest agrees to respect the confidentiality of all the business projects entered in the Contest. However, it reserves the right to mention the names of award recipients as well as the names and brief descriptions of the prize-winning projects at the Provincial and International Grand-Prize Gala and in its general promotional activities.

A confidentiality agreement will be signed by the members of the provincial juries.

Local and regional representatives must also comply with the confidentiality rules regarding Contest projects and participants.
