Special Prizes
Winners of special prizes are selected in collaboration with the partners offering these prizes. The criteria listed below are used in an initial selection process. More detailed criteria determined by the partners are then used to select winning projects. All decisions made by the special juries are final and cannot be appealed.

These prizes are subject to change at any time prior to the registration deadline. Others may be added during the year. The provincial organization will transmit to the relevant partner all projects eligible for the following prizes.

Special Prize for Student Entrepreneurship Awarded to Local Level finalists
All projects entered in the Contest are eligible for the following prize if they meet the criteria established by the sponsor, regardless of whether or not they were local winners.

  • Association des clubs d’entrepreneurs étudiants du Québec - Rogers Prize ($2 000)

A prize of $2 000 awarded in the “Vocational Training and Adult Education” category, the “College―Individual” category, the “College―Group” category, the “University―Individual” category or the “University―Group” category for a project organized and carried out by a student entrepreneurs club as a member of the Association des clubs d'entrepreneurs étudiants (ACEE) du Québec.

A student entrepreneurs club is a forum where students of all disciplines in postsecondary educational institutions in Québec and elsewhere in the francophone world can meet to learn about entrepreneurship, start a business or develop their leadership capacities with a view to becoming entrepreneurs (www.acee.qc.ca).

Special Prize for Student Entrepreneurship Awarded to Regional Level Finalists
All projects entered in the Contest and regional finalist are eligible for the following prize if they meet the criteria established by the sponsors, regardless of whether or not they were regional winners.

  • Fondation pour l’éducation à la coopération et à la mutualité Prizes (total value of $5 000)

Two $2 500 prizes are awarded for projects using a cooperative business model.

A cooperative business model refers here to any cooperative project (with or without a charter) that generates revenues for the benefit of all the members of a group. The members pool their resources, determine the services they will offer and demonstrate cooperative values in delegating
the tasks and responsibilities involved in managing their project. The project must have an entrepreneurial dimension, while at the same time providing a cooperative experience in the classroom or within the group.

The group must respect the organizational framework of a cooperative (board of directors; committees; equal opportunity; distribution of surpluses) and this must be demonstrated in the application form.
